Experience
I attended the State University of New York at Oswego. I minored in international business and French while earning my bachelor's in Spanish. While I worked on my degree, I became involved with the modern language department. As a sophomore, I became president of the National Collegiate Hispanic Honor Society chapter at my school, which I reintroduced to the university. I worked as French and Spanish tutor for the Office of Learning Services at SUNY. I taught French to an elementary class as a teaching assistant as well. I regularly met with students in groups and individually to work together meet their learning needs. As a junior I traveled to Spain to attend the Universidad de Salamanca. I believe that tutors should be able to provide their students with a comfortable environment that allows them to build up confidence in speaking the languages they want to learn. I work with my students in French 1 through 4, Spanish language and culture, and conversational French and Spanish. I love helping students achieve their language goals. Outside of teaching, I enjoy being outdoors. I love to hike, travel, and work out. I also enjoy reading literature in Spanish, French, and English.
